'Bhai Rohit Sharma ka chela hai Surya' - Former India player's bold remarks on Suryakumar Yadav after his first T20I series win as captain

India's T20I series win against Sri Lanka might not significantly affect the rankings, but it is a huge deal for skipper Suryakumar Yadav. Under his bold and brilliant captaincy, India clean swept Sri Lanka in their own backyard, 3-0. SKY made a lot of decisions that shocked Indian fans to the core. However, the positive results were something interesting to watch. Praising SKY's captaincy, India's former player Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter and complimented him, saying he's 'Rohit ka chela.' 

"Bhai Rohit Sharma ka chela hai Surya.. 19th over Rinku se, 20th over khud SKY and won the game. What else one needs to be a great leader?" tweeted Mohammad Kaif. 

Making Riyan Parag bowl in the 2nd T20I and then Rinku Singh and himself in the 3rd T20I was a tricky decision but worked in India's favour. These experiments seem impressive unless teams like England and Australia are in front of India. Since Gautam Gambhir is also a part of the Indian team, these changes will be seen more. 

I have a lot of wickets in domestic cricket: Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh's bowling in the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka impressed the entered Indian crowd. Not only did he bowl well, but he also took two wickets in the same over, including one set batter, Kusal Perera. While talking about his bowling achievement, Rinku said that he has bowled a lot in domestic matches and has taken wickets as well, so this wasn't a new thing for him. 

"I have a lot of wickets in domestic cricket. It's not like that, and I even have a wicket in ODIs. I had been informed by Surya to be ready for bowling in the series. Though I didn't bowl in the run-up to this game, Surya bhai had told me to keep practising my bowling and asked me to do it during warm-up," said Rinku Singh in a video shared by BCCI.
