'Best thing about time is it changes' - Fans react as RR vs KKR match gets abandoned due to rain; RR comes down to 3rd position in points table

The last game of the league stages of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was abandoned due to rain.

The last game of the league stages of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was abandoned due to rain. The match was scheduled at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati, but got cancelled because of the constant rain pouring. This was a boon for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), which won their last match and moved up the points table.

The RR team was hoping to play a match and win it so they could have jumped to the 2nd position again. However, luck didn't seem to be on their side, as the match was called off. Now, KKR is at the top with 20 points, SRH is in the 2nd position with 17 points, RR is in the third position with 16 points, and RCB is in the fourth position with 14 points. 

Now, the first two teams will play the qualifier 1, and the last two will play the eliminator. The winner of Qualifier 1 will directly go to the finals, while the loser will play Qualifier 2 against the winner of the eliminator. Finally, the winner of Qualifier 2 will play the winner of Qualifier 1 in the finals. 

Rajasthan Royals' failure in second half of IPL 2024

After starting their IPL 2024 journey on a winning note, Rajasthan Royals RR) played some quality cricket throughout the tournament's first half. Their batters and bowlers showed some class when it comes to their roles. The entire team seemed to be dominating the league at the start. 

However, the last four games have been quite different in terms of performance. RR lost the last four matches due to the players' lack of batting support. Moreover, their bowling performance dropped as well. None of the players could stand up for the team and play well. Now that they will play the eliminator against RCB, if they continue with such a performance, they'll be knocked out of the tournament.
