BCCI gives clear instructions to Arshdeep Singh ahead of BGT 2024-25

Arshdeep Singh is a strong contender in white-ball cricket who can bloom well in red-ball if given ample chances. Keeping this in mind, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked the pacer to maintain his consistency. As per reports, the management had a conversation with Arshdeep regarding his bowling, and if he maintains the rhythm, he might get a chance in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia. 

The young, talented pacer was a part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2024. The entire world was mesmerized by his bowling, especially in the death overs. His spells were absolutely magical, and strong batters from Australia and England failed to face him during the tournament. 

He's a lethal bowler, and his skills will be useful during the BGT series. The Australian batters are very dangerous, and a bowler with perfect line, length, and speed will dismantle the stumps from time to time. If Arshdeep becomes successful, then he'll definitely be a part of the Test team in the upcoming times. 

India maintains first rank in WTC 2023-25 points table

As the updated points table of the World Test Championship 2023-25 was released, India maintained the first position with 6 wins out of 9 games. They have 74 points and have a win percentage of 68.51. They are ahead of Australia, which will be playing their next Test series against India in November 2024.

Australia, on the other hand, have won eight matches out of 12 and is in the second position with a win percentage of 62.50. They have a perfect chance to beat India and jump up the points table. However, India have a few more series to play before them, and if they win the matches, they'll maintain their position.
