Pakistan's unexpected exit from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup is a shocker for the entire world. After practising hard with the army, the Men in Green failed to qualify for the 2nd stage of the tournament, which was quite disappointing. However, a recent report surfacing online shows Babar Azam and five members will be going to London to enjoy their vacation after the early exit.

While nothing is made official yet, players including Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Azam Khan will be travelling to the UK for a trip with their families. According to a report in The Express Tribune, some players also plan to play in local leagues in London.

Pakistan's early exit from the World Cup was due to their defeat against the USA, which was thrilling. The match went to the Super Over; from there, the USA players held their nerves until the last moment and won. Now, along with India, the US has qualified for the playoffs. While India is placed in Group 1, the USA is placed in Group 2.

Will Pakistan play qualifiers for T20 World Cup 2026?

After an early exit from the tournament, Pakistan fans seem to have one genuine question in their mind regarding the qualification process for the next T20 World Cup 2026. In the next edition, 20 teams will play in the tournament. However, the qualifications for the tournament are a bit different. While 8 teams have qualified for the Super 8 in this edition, they have booked seats in the upcoming edition.

Moreover, the hosts of the next edition are also qualified by default: India and Sri Lanka. Apart from them, two teams will be qualified due to their ICC rankings. Since Pakistan is seventh in the rankings, they will be qualified without playing the qualifiers. Fortunately, Pakistan will play in the T20 World Cup in 2026, even after a disappointing tournament in 2024.
