England's legendary batter Kevin Pietersen made a bold statement by tweeting just one word, "Available," in response to a report mentioning that the BCCI is looking for a batting coach for India. According to reports, after humiliating performances against New Zealand and Australia, the Board is finally considering the idea of appointing a dedicated batting coach for the team ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.

Until now, India had Gautam Gambhir as the head coach and Abhishek Nayar as the assistant coach. However, the position of batting coach has been vacant from the start. However, Pietersen expressed his interest in the role and his desire to be part of the Indian cricket team.

With the amount of experience he has, the board wouldn't deny him the position if the reports are true. Team India's performance in the last few series was nothing less than disappointing. In the home series against New Zealand, they were whitewashed.

Later, in the foreign lands of Australia, they lost the series, 1-3, and the scope of qualifying for the WTC 2025 finals. This is the first time in years the team played horribly. Also, the leaking of chats and conversations from the dressing room is another big issue for BCCI, which they'll try to tackle in the upcoming times.

Wives barred from overseas tours: Reports

A few reports have been surfacing on the internet regarding the barring of cricketers' wives from overseas tours after India's pathetic performance in Australia. As per reports, the Board has decided to allow the wives and family members to stay with the players for 14 days if it's a 45-day tour and a week for a short tour.

Ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, the Board isn't focused on correcting the players or the management, for that matter. If this news were true, it would attract a lot of backlash from the players in the upcoming times.
