Pakistani batter Kamran Ghulam was out for just five runs during the opening ODI against Australia. A well-directed short ball from Pat Cummins ended his stint at the wicket. In the end, Australia won the game by 2 wickets despite a terrific comeback from the Pakistani bowlers.
Kerry O Keefe who was in the commentary box during the game was heard making a nasty comment. The Australian commentator said, “This is not Multan Pitch Baby, it is MCG”. This was a clear shot at Kamran Ghulam who had scored a Test century on debut in Multan against England. Many Pakistani fans didn't like the statement and slammed him on social media.

Pat Cummins led the team well, scoring 31 points, not out to help his side win a close game. None of the batters could score fifty in the game as the bowlers held the sway in Melbourne.
Wasim Akram and Michael Vaughan’s leaves viewers stunned
During the game, former Pakistan and England skippers Wasim Akram and Michael Vaughan were commentating. Yet another former star Adam Gilchrist was one of the other commentators when a rather awkward conversation took place.
Wasim Akram said, “Kamran Ghulam, comes from a big family, he is the 11th of 12 brothers and 4 sisters”. To which Michael Vaughan replied, “16 Kids. Wow! What's the age gap, that's of interest”. Adam Gilchrist chimed in and said “Pakistan selection committee"
Pat Cummins was happy with the way his team played and won the game. Australian skipper during the post-match presentation said “Tonight, we got it done, I always much prefer sitting in the changing room. Wonderful match but got a bit tighter than we would have liked. Really happy with the way the guys bowled, Starcy was terrific at the top and the others bowled really well”
The 31-year-old also said “With this being an ODI and with the conditions, got plenty of allrounders, might as well use them. For three-quarters we were really good, try and find some partnerships, looking to play aggressively and sometimes it may not work, but think still room to try and find a couple of partnerships."
