The Men’s Selection Committee has added Anshul Kamboj to the squad for the remainder of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. Kamboj, who has represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL, has joined the team in Manchester. The fourth Test will kickstart on July 23, 2025. The Haryana speedster, who holds a rare record of taking all 10 wickets in a red-ball game, joins the squad owing to multiple injury concerns within the Indian set-up.

All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests owing to a left knee injury. Nitish will fly back home and the team has wished a speedy recovery to the Andhra cricketer, hoping for him to make a strong comeback.

Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the fourth Test against England at the Old Trafford in Manchester. He sustained an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets at a training session in Beckenham. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress.

WK-batter Rishabh Pant also doubtful due to finger injury

If the aforesaid injuries weren't enough, clouds are looming over the inclusion of Rishabh Pant in the upcoming game. Notably, the wicketkeeper-batter suffered a blow to one of his fingers during the Lord's Test, and had to hand over the wicket-keeping duties to substitute Dhruv Jurel. Pant did come out to bat in both the innings of the game, but was highly ineffective. Whether the Shubman Gill-led side sits vice-captain Pant or play both him and Jurel is a big headache for the management.

India’s updated squad for fourth Test: Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant (VC & WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav, Anshul Kamboj
