David Warner looked utterly frustrated with the services of the Indian Airline, Air India after facing a massive delay in the flight at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The former Aussie cricketer claimed that he boarded an Air India flight, where the pilot didn’t show up which resulted in a massive delay of the flight.

The former legendary Southpaw took to his official X handle (formerly Twitter), where he slammed Air India for poor services and a ‘not up to the mark’ commitment.

“Air India, we have boarded a plane with no pilots and waiting on the plane for hours. Why would you board passengers knowing that you have no pilots for the flight,” wrote David Warner in his post mentioning Air India.

Air India’s ‘not so satisfactory’ response

Furthermore, the airline came up with a response which didn’t seem to make any sense and threw the blame on the weather conditions for the pilot’s absence and the flight delay.

“Dear Mr. Warner, today's challenging weather in Bengaluru caused diversions and delays across all airlines. The crew operating your flight was held up on an earlier assignment affected by these disruptions, which led to a delay in departure. We appreciate your patience and thank you for choosing to fly with us,” read Air India’s X post in response to David Warner’s anger and frustration.

Notably, Warner wasn’t picked by any of the IPL franchises in the IPL 2025 mega-auction for the 18th edition of the tournament. Earlier, he had an amazing IPL career to his name, being the most successful overseas batter; he ended up as the leading run-scorer in the tournament on three occasions, winning the Orange Cap.

However, after going unsold in IPL, Warner was roped in by Karachi Kings, in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is scheduled to be played from April to 11-May 18.
