Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star batter Rinku Singh has gained popularity after hitting five sixes in the last over off Yash Dayal while playing against the Gujarat Titans (GT). KKR won the match and after that Rinku Singh became viral. But the best part was his growth after playing that innings. He became famous and then was selected for the Indian team. He has been consistent for the country as well which is an added advantage.

However, in the previous Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, KKR retained Singh at INR 55 Lakhs while they could have sent it to the auction and bought him again. That way he would have earned a lot of money. Speaking to the Dainik Jagran about this, Rinku Singh said he's content with whatever he has got and has no complaints.

"55 Lakh is a lot of money for me, when I was a child, I felt that if I could get even 5-10 rs - now I am getting 55 Lakhs which is a lot, one should be happy whatever God gives, that is my thinking," said Rinku Singh.

'It was God's plan' - Rinku Singh after winning IPL 2024

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their third IPL trophy after a wait of 10 years. The team defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets and won the title. KKR had a fantastic IPL campaign this year where they were at the top of the table for most part of the tournament. They played like real champions since game 1 and hence, became one at the end of the league. After the match, Rinku Singh was elated with the victory and said he would finally lift the trophy now.

"Outstanding feeling right now. Dream has come true - I have been here for 7 years and we are so happy. Credit to GG sir. I will finally lift the IPL trophy. It was God's plan," said Rinku Singh after the match against SRH.
