The T20 World Cup 2024 is set to start on June 2, in West Indies and the USA. Before the World Cup, England star all-rounder Ben Stokes dropped a bomb on April 2 by opting out of the tournament. While England's squad for the upcoming tournament hasn't been released yet, the news of Stokes came as a surprise for everyone.
Moreover, England's Test team captain opted himself out as he wanted to focus more on Test matches and the upcoming series. Since Stokes is one of the best all-rounders in England, his exclusion is a cause for worry for the England Cricket Board (ECB) as they have to find a perfect replacement for him.

Even though Jofra Archer's inclusion in the T20 World Cup team is dicey, he's one of the best choices of England in place of Stokes. He's a world-class bowler and can bat occasionally if the situation demands. However, due to injury he was out of the IPL 2024 and his return isn't confirmed yet. 5. Chris Jordan

Chris Jordan has played nearly 355 T20 matches for England where he has taken 368 wickets and scored around 2135 runs. Moreover, his experience might come in handy in the West Indies as he has played an ample amount of cricket in his native place, Barbados. Apart from bowling, he's a useful lower-order batter who can strike the ball when the situation demands. Hence, he can also be a good replacement for Stokes.
