3 potential replacement for Hardik Pandya if he misses ODI series against Sri Lanka

India's best all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, is reportedly set to miss another series against Sri Lanka due to a minor injury. He has asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to grant him rest during the particular series. Pandya is an asset to the Indian team in white-ball cricket and is known to be a saviour. Even during the T20 World Cup 2024, he played exceptionally well in all the matches. His all-round performance in the finals was the main reason behind India's iconic victory. 

Now that he'll be missing the Sri Lanka series, the Board will have to find a replacement for him who can manage the workload of the team just like Hardik does. Finding a replacement for someone like Hardik might be tough, but they can surely look for better players and keep them under the radar.

3. Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh can be a perfect replacement for Hardik in the upcoming series as he is a middle-order batter with good knowledge of the game. He's a confident batter who can score a lot of runs and finish the games for India. Moreover, he has played many matches for the team and knows where to perform. 

2. Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube is another player who can be a good replacement since he's also a medium pacer. In the form of Dube, India will get a pacer and a batter who easily hits the balls out of the park. Spinners tempt him, and that's his strong point, but with time, he has learned to play against pacers as well. He can be a good addition to the team. 

1. Nitish Reddy

The all-rounder from Andra, Nitish Kumar Reddy, is a brilliant batting all-rounder who has done wonders in the IPL 2024 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It was because of his consistent performance that he got a chance in the Zimbabwe series, but he couldn't make it to the team due to injury. However, he's a good replacement option for Hardik Pandya.
