Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja shocked the world on Sunday when he decided to quit the T20I format. The 35-year-old had a below-par T20 World Cup with the bat and ball which shocked many fans. This is the 3rd player retirement to take place after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had decided to quit the format. 

The 35-year-old played 74 matches for India scoring 515 runs with the bat and picking 54 wickets with the ball. The retirement of Ravindra Jadeja will create a huge void in the Indian team as they get ready for the next T20 World Cup in 2026 to be held in India and Sri Lanka. 

The next few months will be crucial for the Indian side as they get ready to prepare the next batch of players. At the top of the list will be the likely replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian team in the T20I Format.

Tamil Nadu star Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore is a very good bowler who can beat the batter with his flight and guile. The 27-year-old has already picked 70 wickets from 62 games with a best of 4/6 and an economy rate of 5.75 runs per over. Sai Kishore is also more than a decent batter lower down the order and given a chance he can use the long handle well and score crucial runs for his side.

The youngster has been in and out of the side to fitness and form-related issues. With the retirement of Ravindra Jadeja, the time is right for Washington Sundar to shore up his chances.
