WATCH: Rohit Sharma gets his hands on NBA Trophy, comes up with hilarious comment

Basketball: India captain Rohit Sharma got to see the NBA trophy which is also known as the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

On 31st May Friday, India captain Rohit Sharma had gotten the opportunity to see the NBA trophy, also known as the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Ahead of the ICC World Cup T20 Rohit Sharma gave a visit to Nassau County International Cricket Stadium which is located in New York. 

NBA’s Larry O’Brien Trophy is now on tour ahead of the NBA Finals. The NBA Trophy tour had a stop at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. NBA shared a video which features Rohit Sharma with the NBA Trophy. According to India Today when seeing the NBA Trophy Rohit Sharma said, "Oh Larry paaji, kya haal chaal. (Oh Larry sir, how are you?)," 

Later on, he was asked about his favourite player in the NBA within a second Rohit Sharma replied NBA legend Michael Jordan. The Indian captain stated that Jordan's achievements with the Chicago Bulls were inspirational to him and that he enjoys watching players like LeBron James and Steph Curry.

"My favourite has always been Michael Jordan. What he did for the Chicago Bulls is quite inspiring. And guys like LeBron James and Steph Curry, those are the guys I love watching them play," said Rohit.

Later in the video Rohit Sharma lifted the NBA Trophy and learned the reason why NBA stars have strong bodies. "Oh, it looks quite heavy. No wonder they're so big and tall and strong," said Rohit.

Najimul Shantom also got a chance to see the NBA Trophy

The 2023/24 NBA season is coming to an end as only two teams, Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks are heading into the NBA Finals which is scheduled to start from 7th June. Dallas Mavericks defeated Minnesota Timberwolves to reach the NBA Finals while Boston Celtics defeated Indiana Pacers. The winner of the final will lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy (NBA Trophy).

Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Najimul Shantom also got a chance to see the NBA Trophy at the same stadium. India will start their ICC T20 World Cup campaign with a  warm-up against Bangladesh in Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.
