Memphis Grizzlies' star point guard Ja Morant injured his ankle two times during an NBA preseason clash against the Dallas Mavericks.

Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks clashed against each other for a preseason NBA clash. The battle was quite close throughout the game, however, Grizzlies’ Ja Morant, strained his ankle during the game. The injury didn’t look serious as he came back to play in the third quarter.

Interestingly. Morant again rolled his ankle and this time, he signalled to the team’s athletic trainer that he is unable to play more. Despite this, the Grizzlies claimed victory 121-116 over the Mavericks. However, the Grizzlies will hope that Morant recovers quickly as they will need their star point guard in the upcoming NBA season.

Meanwhile, Grizzlies’ head coach Taylor Jenkins provided an update on Morant’s injury after the game. Jenkins revealed the reason behind Morant’s injury and said that the guard twisted his ankle due to which he was taken off the court for some precautionary measures. The fans can expect the Grizzlies to play a few matches without the services of Morant.

Talking about Grizllies’ upcoming encounters, their next clash will be against the Charlotte Hornets which will be followed by a match against the Chicago Bulls. Grizzlies’ first clash of the season will be against the Utah Jazz on October 23. They will hope to continue their winning momentum before the season starts along with the recovery of Morant.
