On Friday night, Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever are facing Las Vegas Aces, the reigning champions, for the fourth and final game of the 2024 WNBA season. After winning the first three games, the Aces will try to complete the sweep.

After just five minutes of play, Clark was given her second foul. She yelled in rage and pounded the basketball hoop's base in return. After that, the referees blew the whistle and assessed a technical penalty on Clark for her behavior. Aliyah Boston had to go to the locker room in the first half of Indiana Fever's intense matchup with the Las Vegas Aces after taking a blow to the face.

When Las Vegas star A'ja Wilson attempted to give Tiffany Hayes a high-ball screen, Boston was originally defending Aces center A'ja Wilson. Boston stepped up to hedge the offensive player for Hayes as she set the screen on defender Kelsey Mitchell, but when she swiped through, she got struck in the face.

Watch here the video:

Boston's face was struck by Hayes, and the Fever player fell to the ground while clutching her lips. Then, WNBA supporters responded to Boston's hit. While some are only concerned about Boston's health, others feel that the officials should be held accountable for their poor handling of the play. Despite returning to the Fever bench in the first half after the hit, Boston remained in the locker room following the hit.

Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever aims to win the game

Losing Boston, a WNBA All-Star in 2024, will leave the Fever with a large hole on their roster. Before Indiana's game against the Aces, the 6-foot-5 forward averaged 14.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. To assist her squad defeat the Aces, Caitlin Clark is focused on giving it her all. After Indiana's 86-75 setback against A'ja Wilson and Co. on Wednesday, September 11, winning has to be the priority for Caitlin right now.
