WATCH: Panatheniac stadium having basketball court in it

The Municipality of Athens announced that the Paris 2024 Olympic torch would arrive at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece, on April 26. The flame started its trip from Olympia. The flame's arrival in the Greek capital was the topic of a meeting on Thursday between French Ambassador to Greece Laurence Auer and Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas.

The mayor of the city brought up the possibility of holding combined Greek-French extracurricular cultural and sporting activities in honour of the Flame's arrival in Athens and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris during the meeting. The renowned Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, sometimes referred to as Kallimarmaro locally will play home to Panathinaikos' annual Pavlos Giannakopoulos friendly competition.

The first modern Olympics were held in 1896 at the Panathenaic Stadium

The competition is slated for September 20–21, and in addition to the host team, three additional EuroLeague teams Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will compete. In the Greek capital, Kallimarmaro is a well-liked tourist destination.

The first modern Olympics were held in 1896 at the Panathenaic Stadium, which was constructed in ancient Greece. It is the only operating stadium of its kind in the world, built completely of marble. By the sixth century B.C., its construction was finished.

The actual game was an exciting experience. Partizan was a formidable foe for Panathinaikos, who had the support of their fervent home supporters. The ability and tenacity displayed by both teams made for a fiercely contested battle. The mood was lively and exuberant, with supporters from both teams contributing to the electrifying atmosphere.

The occasion was a celebration of basketball culture in addition to the actual game. The stadium was filled with attractions for fans to enjoy, including interactive games, food vendors, and live music. The event took on a mystical quality thanks to the starry sky, leaving everybody in attendance with unforgettable memories.
