Minnesota Timberwolves have marked point guard Mike Conley Jr. as doubtful for Game 7 due to a right soleus strain. The soleus muscle is linked to the Achilles, which Conley has been struggling with since missing Game 5 due to his injury.

Mike Conley Jr. missed Game 5 with a strained right Achilles tendon and had been labeled as doubtful throughout the day. The Wolves further defined the ailment as a soleus strain. The soleus is a calf muscle that joins to the heel bone as part of the Achilles tendon. Conley sustained the injury on Minnesota Timberwolves' final offensive possession of Game 4 when he missed a 3-pointer with 25 seconds left in a 115-107 defeat. Conley is averaging 11.3 points and seven assists in 31.8 minutes throughout Minnesota's playoff run this season.

Athony Edwards credited guard Conley's return, who had missed Game 5 because of an Achilles tendon strain in his right leg, for the team's turnaround. The third-seeded Timberwolves shocked the defending champions with a 20-0 first-quarter outburst led by MVP Nikola Jokic, who scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
