Mikal Bridges intends to stay with Brooklyn Nets ahead of new season

The 2023/24 NBA season for the Brooklyn Nets has been disastrously poor as only two games they are already eliminated from the postseason. Brooklyn Nets have managed to win only 32 games and lost 48 games so far in the season. Their team lacks direction, and they will not profit from their dismal NBA Draft performance because their first-round choice is owned by the Houston Rockets.

These troubles have sparked several rumors concerning the future of one of their few valuable players, Mikal Bridges. Many teams have attempted to get Bridges as soon as he was acquired at the 2023 trade deadline. The Rockets attempted as well before the 2024 deadline.

The Nets have not changed. Their aim remains to put a winner around Bridges. Of fact, many terrible teams intend to field winners around their top players. Those plans usually fall apart the moment the player realizes he can achieve better elsewhere.

The Netts have a short window in which they can genuinely place a winner around Bridges. He is under contract for the next two seasons at a salary that is far lower than his fair market worth.
