Superstar Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers will not play in any preseason games in 2024–25. Doctors examined Embiid on Thursday as part of his left knee care, and found that he was "progressing well." A personalized treatment regimen that aims to "best support his health and wellness" will be continued by him in front of the 2024–25 campaign.
He has been officially ruled out of Philadelphia 76ers' last three preseason games. During his 2023–24 campaign, Embiid had knee surgery to treat lateral meniscus damage. He finally healed and was ready to play again before the regular season ended, missing just over two months. Embiid averaged 41.4 minutes per game while playing in all six of the 76ers' first-round playoff series against the New York Knicks.
Philadelphia 76ers has a good team ahead of new NBA season
After one of the finest offseasons in NBA history, Philadelphia goes into this season with maybe the biggest expectations of any team in the Embiid era. Paul George was signed by the 76ers as a free agent, Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid were given long-term contracts, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Kyle Lowry were kept as free agents, and Caleb Martin, Eric Gordon, and Andre Drummond were brought in to round out the starting lineup
