On Tuesday night game Skylar Diggins-Smith guard for Seattle Storm got a big blow on her face by Kahleah Copper of Phoenix Mercury who was in run in second quarter. The incident took place in the second quarter when only 3:25 minutes where left to end the quarter. Seattle Storm where in the lead by 43-24.

Kahleah Copper was running towards the basket and scored on a Copper was driving to the basket off the break and scored on a and-1 play, but not before hitting Diggins-Smith in the mouth with her left arm, leaving the latter bleeding. Copper was handed a technical foul for striking Skylar Diggins-Smith, who then took the free throw.

Skylar Diggins-Smith and the Seattle Storm cruised to an 80-62 victory over the Phoenix Mercury at home on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to five games. The hosts Storm utilised a great start to establish a double-digit lead, 25-12, at the end of the first quarter, and never looked back.

Ezi Magbegor led Seattle to victory, scoring 21 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Skylar Diggins-Smith, who received a devastating knock to the face in the second quarter, finished with 17 points, four assists, and two steals. Jewell Loyd and Victoria Vivians scored 15 and 10 points, respectively. Kahleah Copper led Phoenix in scoring with 19 points, while Natasha Cloud was the only Mercury player in double digits with 10.

Phoenix defeated Los Angeles

Phoenix defeated Los Angeles on Sunday to end a four-game losing run, although the team's road record this season is 1-5. Phoenix concluded with just 4 of 23 3-pointers made, while leading the WNBA in 3-pointers made. The win moved the Storm to 6-3, second in the Western Conference. Seattle will play the defending WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, on the road on Friday.
