‘I wouldn't say I'm bummed’ – Caitlin Clark shares her thoughts after getting snubbed from Paris Olympics 2024

Caitlin Clark the rookie for Indiana Fever should be in Paris with the USA Women’s Basketball for the Paris Olympics 2024. Due to her performance ahead of the selection date, she wasn’t picked in the squad. As of now, Caitlin Clark is enjoying her free time ahead of the hectic WNBA season.

Caitlin Clark is still young and will get many chances to represent her in the national basketball tournaments. Since making his debut in WNBA for Indiana Fever she has performed well and she is the key player for the team so far. Caitlin Clark has a lot of potential and will go in WNBA star. She will also get a chance to win Olympic gold for the USA Women’s basketball team in the near future. 

As per Marca Caitlin Clark spoke up about what she felt after getting not picked up by the team USA for the Paris Olympics 2024. Caitlin Clark said, "I wouldn't say I'm bummed. It gives you something to work for, I'm sure, and something to dream of, and in four years you can be there. Four years come fast. That's your time in college, and I feel like I was just a freshman in college. It shows you that you've got to start working now if you want that to be your dream in four years. That's it for me - work hard and hopefully, you can be there. I'm excited for the girls that are on the team. I'm excited for them, going to be rooting them on to win gold. I was a kid who grew up watching the Olympics and it'll be fun watching."

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark rivalry taking place

While starting matches of WNBA Caitlin Clark had a rough start as she struggled to score points. But after settling down she displayed a masterclass in each game. Her averages are 17.1, 5.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game. She is facing tough competition with Angel Reese for the Rookie of the Year award this season. Both Caitlin Clark and Angele Reese have been rivals since college basketball and in the upcoming season, their rivalry will get bigger as time passes.  

Meanwhile, Dawn Staley coach of USA stated about why Caitlin Clark wasn't picked for the Paris Olympics 2024. As per Pink Villa, "Caitlin is just a rookie in the WNBA, wasn’t playing bad, but wasn’t playing like she’s playing now," Staley mentioned.
