Here's how NBA Playoffs scenario looks like after Thursday's games

On April 14 NBA regular season is coming to an end. But many teams have games left to get in postseason position. Many teams have a chance to lock in play-in position on Thursday. Dallas Mavericks who are in Western Conference have locked a spot in play-in position as they defeated Atlanta Hawks. 

Golden State Warriors are in 10th position in the Western Conference and are spotted in a play-in position even though they have won six back-to-back games in recent times. In the Eastern Conference, the 10 teams are already decided. Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls have locked their position for play-in spots while Boston Celtics have booked their playoff spot as they are leading the Eastern Conference as they have won 60 and lost 16 matches. 

Last phase of games to decide playoff spots

Teams placed in positions 1st to 6th will take NBA playoff spots while teams placed in 7th to 10th positions will play in a Play-in tournament to win the last two playoff spots. Meanwhile, there may be some changes in the playoff spot within nine days as there are some games left. This may be a chance for other teams to capitalize on their chance. 

From the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics have already qualified for playoffs, while Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, New York, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadephia 76ers can make it into playoffs and the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Bucks can make it into play-in positions. 

From the Western Conference Denver Nuggets Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder have booked their spot in the Playoffs while LA Clippers, Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors all are in contention for playoffs as well as play-in position as there still matches left.
