Devin Booker scores 52 points to help Phoenix Suns win over New Orleans Pelicans 124-111

On Monday night Phoenix Suns defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 124-111 as Devin Booker scored 52 points in his fifth-highest-scoring game in his career.

On Monday night Phoenix Suns defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 124-111 as Devin Booker scored 52 points in his fifth-highest-scoring game in his career. This win puts Phoenix Suns in 7th position in the Western Conference and a chance to qualify for play-in.

Phoenix Suns made a comeback from their recent loss against Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday. On Sunday again they play the Phoenix Suns face the New Orleans Pelicans. For the Phoenix Suns Jusuf Nurkic scored 19 points and Kevin Durant got 20 points in the third quarter. The game enters the fourth quarter as the New Orleans Pelicans cut the gap with 20-8 as they trail 103-90. 

CJ McCollum scored a 3-pointer as New Orleans Pelicans got closer by 115-108 but final 36 seconds left Booker got his side winning the game. In the first quarter, Booker got 24 points which came from 8-of-9 behind the arc. His 3-pointer helped the team to get a lead of 46-22.

Devin Booker sets new streak against New Orleans Pelicans

In their last match on 19th January Phoenix Suns were the winner over New Orleans Pelicans 123-109 as Booker scored 52 points. In the recent match in the first half, Booker got 37 points as Phoenix Suns took the lead 74-54. The Suns created a defensive wall around Zion Williamson, and the Pelicans' best scorer did not take his first shot until late in the first quarter. Williamson ended with 30 points and 5 assists. Trey Murphy III had 21 points for New Orleans.

Booker has now a streak against the New Orleans Pelicans. On 17th December 2022, Booker scored 58 points that helped the Phoenix Suns to win the game by a score of 118-114 over the New Orleans Pelicans. In his career so far Booker now has eight 50-plus scoring points in games. Phoenix Suns will now face Cleveland Cavaliers, while New Orleans Pelicans will face Orlando Magic in their next game.
