Caitlin Clark had only one basket and three points in the poorest game of her early professional career, but New York Liberty dominated Indiana Fever 104-68 on Sunday night. New York blitzed Indiana right away, and the visiting club had little chance, as the New York Liberty beat the Indiana Fever for the third time this season.

Indiana Fever was coming off their second win of the season, defeating the Chicago Sky on Saturday, but Sunday's game got out of hand quickly for the youthful club. Before they could blink, the Liberty had a 23-4 advantage in the opening session, which extended to 21 points in the first half.

Indiana was able to cut the deficit to 12 points in the third quarter, but New York replied with another run, reopening the margin, and the Fever were unable to reply. New York Liberty led by double digits for the entire game save the first three minutes.

New York Liberty took control of the match

New York is 3-0 against Indiana this season, averaging a victory margin of 27.6 points. On Sunday, New York Liberty defeated the Fever by a score of 36 points for the second time this season. With a mere three points at the end of the game, Caitlin Clark recorded the lowest scoring performance of her short WNBA career. As the Liberty started to distance themselves from the Fever, the 2024 No. 1 pick missed her opening four shots in the contest.

Caitlin Clark opened the second quarter with a trademark 3-pointer after going scoreless in the first. Laney-Hamilton and Kayla Thornton were always on the defensive and harassing her. At the half, New York was ahead 55–37. Early in the third quarter, Indiana pulled within twelve, but the Liberty quickly took control of the match. Indiana Fever was led by Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 21 points.

They'll now get four days off, their longest so far, before returning to play on Friday against the winless Washington Mystics.
