At his Hall of Fame party, Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade allegedly confronted former teammate Antoine Walker for failing to defend him against Paul Pierce.

As per Heat Nation, "Dwyane Wade had a celebration for going to the Hall of Fame, so I went to pay my respects in Chicago," Walker said in a statement. "Can you guess what discussion he wants to have? This one (referring to Pierce).

As per Heat Nation, "Oh, not a joke. This is — we are celebrating his Hall of Fame. He said, 'Bro, why you ain't defending me, man? "You are aware that we are from Chicago." I am like, 'D, he tough.' I told D, 'He tough.' I remarked, 'Man, Paul is as tough as they come.' I haven't seen Paul back down from anybody. I saw Paul go against everyone, buddy. He does not back down. I've seen him put statistics up against everyone.

According to Heat Nation, “So, I think the way Paul did it, probably should’ve probably given a little bit more respect to D-Wade than just flat out said he better than him, but that’s how confident Paul is when it comes to basketball.”

The duo played for Miami Heat in 2005/06 NBA season

Pierce and Wade's dispute appears to start from the former's 2019 statements on ESPN, in which he claimed he had a better NBA career than Wade.

Moreover, Amin Elhassan, the Phoenix Suns' former associate director of basketball operations, stated in February of this year that many NBA players agree with Pierce's point of view but are hesitant to express it publicly.

From the 2005/06 NBA season to 2006/07 Antoine Walker and Dwyane Wade played as teammate for Miami Heat. In Antoine Walker's first season for the Miami Heat, he played a key role as Miami Heat won the NBA title in 2006. In all four playoffs of 2006, he averaged 11-plus points per game for the Maimi Heat. In the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, his average was 13.8 points, 2.2 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and shooting from the field was 39.1%.

Hopefully, Walker can utilize his relationships with Pierce and Wade to help settle the ongoing dispute between two of the best players of their age.
