The world is waiting for Lewis Hamilton to drive a Ferrari car, as the British driver signed a multi-year deal with the Maranello team. After a successful 12-year journey with the Mercedes F1 team, Hamilton moved to the Italian squad, which could be the final team of the F1 legend.
But this also gives us a clear picture of his Formula 1 retirement year, which will be cruel for his fans. A year ago, Hamilton announced his shocking departure from Mercedes by joining Ferrari. He already has 7 world championships and 6 of them come with Mercedes. He is awaiting to lift his 8th Formula 1 title and he believes Ferrari is the team that has the potential to give him what he wants. The oldest Formula 1 team hasn't won a single F1 title since the 2008 season, and most of the time they lost the title because of Lewis Hamilton.

They signed him in 2024 for a whopping 400 million Euro contract. It could be a three-year contract that Hamilton expected from Mercedes for which they said ‘NO’. Considering all that news and speculation, Lewis could race until the 2027 Formula 1 season and will be 43 years old by then. We don’t know what Hamilton thinks in his mind. We expect him to race at least three years for Ferrari. These are the crucial years for Hamilton to win his 8th Formula 1 championship and retire from the sport as the greatest of all time.
