The race in Jeddah is available for the fans because there was not enough action, and the race was boring. The only time the fans got to see some action was on the opening lap and the battle between Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton. The Ferrari driver didn’t have a great day in Saudi Arabia, where he won the inaugural race in 2021.

But Hamilton showed a masterclass defence against Incoming Lando Norris, who was desperate to reach the podium in Jeddah. McLaren team principal Andrea Stella said Norris' battle with Hamilton has cost his team a double podium. Lando Norris crashed in qualifying and lost his chance to start from pole. He started in P10 and was flying towards the podium places.

He overtook the two Williams drivers, and his next aim was getting past the veteran Lewis Hamilton. Everybody thought it would be easy for Lando to get past Hamilton, as Ferrari was slower than McLaren. But with his precise defence, Lewis held off Norris for too long, not once but twice.

The first attack came in the final 15 laps of the race, where Norris passed Hamilton in the DRS zone. But the veteran came back again with his wings open and retook the lead. Norris then waited for a few more laps and again tried his best to attack Hamilton. The Ferrari driver was at it again and retook the lead. In this battle, he lost many laps and crucial time.

Only in the final 10 laps did he overtake Hamilton and get past Mercedes drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. If it is not Hamilton, then Norris would have also got past Charles Leclerc, and we could have even witnessed a Max Verstappen vs Lando Norris in Saudi Arabia. Lewis Hamilton’s experience played the game, and he clearly knew where to take the defence and when to attack.

Norris learnt the skills the hard way, and he will be very careful and come with a new plan when attacking more experienced Formula 1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso. Lando is now behind his teammate, Oscar Piastri, in Championship points, and the next race in Miami is the opportunity for him to retake the lead.
