Alpine driver Jack Doohan had a deadly crash at the Japanese Grand Prix FP2 session. He was not present during the FP1 session, as Alpine reserve driver Hirakawa drove Doohan’s Alpine car. The Australian just went for his first spin, and in the first corner, his car gave up on the corner, and he crashed massively into the barriers.

The crash was so big that even Isack Hadjar, who followed Doohan a couple of meters behind, got scared and called for an immediate red flag. The deadly crash even damaged the barriers, pushing them to the inside of the track. Earlier, Carlos Sainz complained of his rear wnd bouncing heavily and returned to the garage immediately. Jack Doohan didn't have any idea what caused the crash and was left stunned for a few minutes.

Many suspect the car was bottoming out, and that’s why he lost all the downforce in the corner and crashed. The surprising fact was that he lost his car as soon as he entered the corner, which is very unusual. The FIA will investigate the matter, and then the chassis will be returned to the Alpine garage. They have a long night repairing the damaged parts of the wrecked Alpine car.

The Australian Formula 1 driver is having some concussion due to the crash as he wasn't expecting the car to give up that way. He is now taken to the medical centre, where he will be thoroughly checked and then will take a review with his team. F1 drivers are trained to withstand this kind of high-impact crash, but this one is very unusual as we see no driver error or involvement.

Doohan is already under massive pressure inside the Alpine garage as his driver seat is uncertain. Franco Colapino and Hirakawa were already in the queue to become Full-time drivers. Jack Doohan’s first two races this season haven't been great. He retired due to a crash in his home circuit and finished P15 in China.
