In the whirlwind of the 2024 Formula 1 season, the spotlight has been squarely on Red Bull, with speculation swirling around the team's internal dynamics and future. Amidst this turbulence, the news of Adrian Newey, Red Bull's esteemed designer, signing a Ferrari flag has sent shockwaves through the paddock, igniting intense speculation about his next move.

Newey, renowned for his illustrious career and instrumental role in Red Bull's dominance, joined the team in 2006. He accumulated a remarkable list of championships and accolades. However, recent upheavals within Red Bull, including allegations against team principal Christian Horner and Newey's announcement of his impending departure, have fueled rumours of his potential transition to Ferrari.

Here is the video of Newey signing the Ferrari flag:

Notably, during the Monaco Grand Prix, Adrian Newey was seen signing a Ferrari flag as a fan approached him. The same video went viral on social media as fans started speculating about his future.

Giedo Van der Garde feels Ferrari has signed Adrian Newey

Ferrari's team principal Fred Vasseur has downplayed speculation surrounding Newey's possible move, emphasizing the importance of collective effort over individual talent. However, Giedo Van der Garde has suggested otherwise, asserting that Newey has already aligned himself with Ferrari as part of Vasseur's strategic overhaul of the team.

Van der Garde pointed to Ferrari's recent successes, including poaching Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes, as evidence of Vasseur's adept leadership and persuasive capabilities. He expressed confidence that history would repeat itself with Newey's purported commitment to Ferrari.

He said, “What Vasseur has done for Ferrari in recent years is very impressive. Strategically he has put in different people, and he has linked a new race engineer to Leclerc. He won right away in Monaco last weekend. He has attracted other people to the team, and he has Adrian Newey.”
