Top 5 Reasons for F 1 2025 season (Photograph: Instagram)
The F1 2025 season is just one month away, and fans can't wait to see the world’s fastest cars flying through high-speed chicanes and passing in the blink of an eye. But what is more exciting is that many fans say this 2025 could be the best-ever F1 season considering its pre-season build-up and expectations.
We haven't seen a great F1 season after 2021, where we saw Max Verstappen’s heroics and title win. The 2022 and 2023 were one-sided and dominated by Max and Red Bull. The 2024 season turned out impressive only after the first half of the season and Verstappen already got a huge championship lead. But many believe this season could be a thriller starting from the first race and let's check out the reasons behind it.
Here are the top 5 Reasons F1 2025 Could be the best F1 Season Ever
1. Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari

The biggest reason to never miss out on the 2025 F1 season was Lewis Hamilton driving a Ferrari. Though the British driver achieved everything in Formula 1, driving a Ferrari car is one huge bucket list for him. For the Tifosi, he is like a ‘Messiah’ who could bring the championship back home to Italy. The Maranello fans could turn Lewis Hamilton into a god if he does win.
Ferrari tried to win the title with many drivers like Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa and Charles Leclerc. But the maximum they could do is finish second, so the Maranello team is betting big on Lewis as he knows how to win an F1 title under pressure. Sebastian Vettel once said, “Everyone is a Ferrari fan, even if they say they are not.”
2. Max Verstappen’s hunt for a fifer

Each driver dominated Formula 1 during their prime and from 2021 F1 has become Max Verstappen’s era. The Dutch driver is in the form of his life and even with a slower machine, he managed to win the Championship and fight against McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari. The four-time world champion is on a hunt for his fifth one, and if any teams or drivers want to win the championship then have to cross Verstappen.
The Hardest part here is racing against Verstappen because the Red Bull driver somehow manages his car well and triumphs against his rivals. If you take last year's Qatar Grand prix, nobody thought Verstappen would win the main race after McLaren’s dominant win during the sprints. Even if Red Bull fails to deliver, the Max Verstappen factor will make a huge difference.
3. Four-way Battle

The 2025 season will be a 4-way battle between the big four: McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes. Only Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamiton have F1 titles in these four teams and the rest of the drivers are chasing their first glory. So their aggression and hunger will be more that could turn the race tracks into a battlefield.
McLaren and Ferrari surpassed Red Bull as the fastest teams on the grid, and Mercedes is trying to catch up with their late victories. We also saw a surprising rivalry between Max and George which could still be burning from the inside. The expectations for the teams and drivers among their fans are super high and we also expect the season to be a clash of the titans.
4. Another McLaren vs Ferrari

Formula One’s grand old rivalry McLaren vs Ferrari bloomed in the last season for the constructors championship. The Papaya army emerged victorious claiming their first constructors title in 26 years, since Mika Hakkinen’s win in 1998. The chapter is still not over and we could see the continuation of that this year. With Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc driving for them, Ferrari will be the team to beat.
But on the other side, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris with little experience in F1 delivered the championship to McLaren with cool and calmness. The McLaren duo is better at handling pressure against the rest of the grid, which has more to do with the team culture. Zak Brown and Andrea Stella believe in the young duo and it will be more exciting to see the two drivers go against the experienced Ferrari duo.
5. The Rookie year and the last one of the Hybrid era

2025 will have more rookies driving a Formula 1 car with Oliver Bearman, Jack Doohan, Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Isack Hadjar. So the transition in Formula 1 is slowly happening and the first batch of drivers will be these five. Each of them has huge responsibilities and it will be nice to see which rookie emerges as the best at the end of the year.
This year also marks the end of the hybrid era that started in 2014 with V6 Turbo hybrid engines introduced in F1 after scrapping the old V8 Engines. The 2026 engine regulations will be very new and completely change the perspective of Formula 1 with more battery power balanced with the ICE. So each Formula 1 team will put their maximum efforts into developing the 2025 cars with the technology they have learned all these years. The one final battle in the hybrid era is on and let’s see which team reaches the glory.
