Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton has released a statement for the first time this year as a Ferrari driver. He also wants to make the year 2025 “one to remember.” The British driver wanted change, so he switched to Ferrari, his biggest rival in the last 12 years. Mercedes was like a family to Hamilton because they travelled with him since his debut in the 2007 season.
Even during his McLaren days, he used a Mercedes engine and won a world title in 2008. After his move to the Silver Arrows in 2013 everything was a success for him. He won 6 world titles with them which is the most by any driver with any team. But this year, he will partner with Charles Leclerc and use a Ferrari engine for the first time. Ferrari signed a historic multi-year deal with Hamilton and we hope this will be Lewis Hamilton’s final team in Fomrula 1 as in January he turns 40.

First Statement as Ferrari driver
After moving to Ferrari this new year, Hamilton has given his first statement regarding his career change. He posted on his Linkedin saying “I could be more excited for the year ahead. Moving to Scuderia Ferrari, there’s a lot to reflect on. To anyone considering their next move in 2025: embrace the change. Whether you are switching industries, learning new skills, or even just taking on new challenges, remember that reinvention is powerful.”

The 2025 season is the final season of the hybrid era which Hamilton dominated for the most part. He also wants to make 2025 a one to remember. He added “Your next opportunity is always within reach. Here’s to 2025- a year of embracing new opportunities, staying hungry, and driving forward with purpose. Let's make it one to remember. Andiamo.” There were many questions regarding Lewis Hamilton’s current form and age. But Fred Vasseur the former team principal of Hamilton is very confident in his driver and not worried at all. Last year Lewis Hamilton won two races in Belgium and the UK.
