After a lot of speculation and considerations, Red Bull is going to miss a big hand in upcoming seasons. The veteran aerodynamic technician Adrian Newey is set to leave the team. It has been reported that Newey decided to leave after being disillusioned by the internal politics of the Austrian team.

According to the German news outfit Auto, Motor and Sport, Newey will announce his decision soon and Max Verstappen is likely to continue without him in Red Bull. The biggest reason behind his departure is the lack of budget allocation for his dream project i.e. RB17 hypercar.

It’s worth noting that it won’t be an easy decision for Newey as he has a contract with Red Bull till the end of the 75th Formula 1 season i.e. till the end of 2025. If he comes to a conclusion Newey would be keen to move out before 2025 to monitor or take over a new project somewhere else.

Where will Adrian Newey land?

It has been reported on multiple occasions that Adrian Newey is the most demanded prospect in the F1 circles. He has value more than many drivers in the grid just because of his amazing skills and masterwork. Newey increased his worth after launching RB20 with some unique aerodynamic features. His work awestruck everyone making him one of the most asked people.

Ferrari has even offered him a lucrative deal that matches the pay scale of a senior driver on the grid. Earlier, it was reported that Newey would not like to move out of Red Bull because of his commitments to the RB17 project. However, if the latest development is correct, which is reported by one of the most reliable sources, Ferrari can be the first choice for Newey.

It’s worth noting that if Newey moves to Ferrari he will fulfil his almost three decade old dream. In the 1990s he was offered a lucrative deal by Ferrari but he opted for McLaren due to some personal reasons. Now, his comeback to Ferrari will also mean that he will work with Lewis Hamilton who will join the team in 2025.
