Adrian Newey spoke about his winter return in a recent talk show. The Red Bull designer claimed that he had not thought anything about it yet. He claimed his focus was on working on the RB17 hypercar and taking a bit of time off after its completion. He gave the headline news for the reporter by saying that he could return by autumn or winter.

Sky Sports News had a small interview with the popular car designer. When asked about his next move in car design, the 64-year-old said he had no idea about his future. Newey added that his focus was to work on the completion of the RB17 hypercar. "At the moment I’m just kind of still working on the RB17 hypercar, and then just taking some time off," said the Red Bull designer.

Adrian was glad that the weather was good for them to work on the car in the last week or so. Newey said that he got to spend a bit of time on the South Coast with his dogs and an old Aston Martin DB6. "Last week actually we took seven days and lucky timing on the weather obviously and went around the South Coast with our dogs in an old Aston Martin DB6 and that was great fun," added Adrian.

'That’s certainly a target, by then I’ll need to make my mind up' - Adrian Newey

Adrian Newey worked with Red Bull for over two decades and played a key role in designing the cars in all their 13 world championship success. Earlier this year, the popular race car company confirmed that Adrian would be making a move from them. Many companies like Ferrari, Williams, Mercedes, and Aston Martin are interested in him.

The popular designer was asked if he would take a bit of rest and return by autumn or winter. Adrain said that he had to make up his mind to think about his return in the period. "That’s certainly a target, by then I’ll need to make my mind up," added Newey in the conversation. It seems like Aston Martin is trying everything to come to a term with the designer for a contract.
