  • F1 is an upcoming racing movie based on Formula 1 drivers and teams.
  • Max Verstappen did not attend the event as he was doing sim racing.
  • The Red Bull driver live-streamed his iRacing event.

Franz Hermann, aka Max Verstappen, was not present during Monaco's exclusive F1 movie premiere event ahead of its global release. The reigning Formula 1 world champion was busy in the iRacing championship, and the beauty here is that Verstappen live-streamed the racing event while the other F1 drivers were there to see the new F1 movie.

F1 is the upcoming live-action racing movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. It was shot live during the F1 Grand Prix races in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. It is co-produced by Apple, Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton. As the movie was shot alongside the live racing events, we can see many real F1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Max Verstappen in the movie. This is the first movie in a decade that is based on Formula 1 racing.

The movie crew wanted to show the exclusive premiere to the F1 drivers before everyone else. So, they organised an event in Monaco ahead of the Grand Prix of Monaco. Each driver from the 2025 grid attended the premiere event except Max Verstappen.

The Dutch driver was busy iRacing for his team, Redline. It is an Endurance Championship that is played in the Simulator. Max is his team's lead driver, and during his free time, he drives the simulator for his team. Even during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend, he raced for his team, Red Line and finished at the top.

This time, he was not there for the movie event and even live-streamed it online. Verstappen is racing under the name FranzHermann, which he used to race for his GT3 challenge. But we are sure Max Verstappen will call his co-drivers and talk about the movie. If he gets a positive response, he may even watch the movie, as he has also been living in Monaco since the 2015 season. The Monaco Grand Prix will be a big event this week, and we can't wait to get back to live action.
