The reigning world champion Max Verstappen has blasted his critics at the Brazilian GP press meet over his Mexico GP racing conduct. He said “I Know what I’m doing” after he was asked a question regarding former world champion Damon Hills's comments after the 2024 Mexican Grand prix.

Max responds to the critics

After the Mexican Grand prix, Max verstappen was heavily slammed by critics over his racing technique and pushing Lando Norris off the track. One of those critics was the former world champion Damon Hill. He said Verstappen did some “Dick Dastardly stuff” and he completely let himself down with his Mexican GP racing weekend.

Verstappen was asked about the comments and he said “I don't listen to those individuals. I just do my thing. I’m a three-time world champion, I think I know what I’m doing. I have my opinions, but I don't need to share them.”

The three-time world champion said he is trying to maximise his race results during the Mexican Grand prix and everything that happened there was a race incident.  Max Said “I think it's just you win some, you lose some. That's how it is in racing in general. I like to win. I don't like to lose. I think not many people like to lose. I just tried to maximise the result and, like I said, Some you win, Some you lose.”

The Dutchman also pointed out that each and every year the Formula 1 rule book is getting bigger and bigger. He also spoke about people getting biased when supporting. He says “I think I’ve got to this stage in my career with the right people supporting me and making my own decisions.

Some people are just being very annoying. I know who these people are I don't pay a lot of attention to them anyway. Some people are just biased. But it's not my problem at the end of the day. I just continue with my life and I keep performing.” Max verstappen will most likely change his engine during the Brazilian GP and he will get a grid penalty for it. But he feels a lack of pace from the car doesn't help him get back to winning ways. There are still 4 races remaining in this year's Formula 1 Calendar.
