In a surprising yet exciting turn of events, Esteban Ocon has signed with Haas for the 2025 season, marking a significant shift in his Formula 1 career. Ocon, a seasoned driver with 146 race starts and a race victory under his belt, joins Haas alongside rookie Ollie Bearman.

This decision comes well before the summer break, highlighting Haas's growing allure in the F1 world. Ocon's move to Haas signals his confidence in the team's upward trajectory and ambitious plans. Despite not securing a podium in its eight-and-a-half-year history, Haas's recent developments and potential have caught Esteban Ocon's attention.

The 27-year-old Frenchman had been contemplating his future since the beginning of the year, with his contract with Alpine set to expire at the end of the current season. As both Ocon and Alpine started to seek different paths, it became evident that a change was imminent.

Esteban Ocon shares his excitement to join Haas!

Ocon expressed his enthusiasm about joining Haas, stating, "Very proud to announce I will be joining Haas F1 Team in 2025 on a multi-year deal. I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter in my F1 career and join an ambitious racing team whose spirit, work ethic, and undeniable upward trajectory have impressed me."

He also extended his gratitude towards Haas’s key figures, Gene and Ayao, for their honest and productive discussions over the past months. “I’d like to thank Gene and Ayao for our honest and fruitful discussions these last few months. Haas F1 Team has big plans and clear targets for the future, and I am looking forward to reuniting with Ayao (my first ever F1 race engineer!), as well as working with everyone in Kannapolis, Banbury, and Maranello.”

Further speaking about Alpine and his current focus he said, “For now, my focus and energy is still fully dedicated to Alpine F1 Team. We’ve got 11 races to go this year and I am more motivated than ever to end my five-year collaboration with the team on a high.”
