Alpine reserve driver Franco Colapinto does a fake Charles Leclerc signature during a fan meet. The Argentinean driver drove for the Williams F1 team in 2024. He had a wonderful debut in Azerbaijan, and many teams, including Red Bull and Alpine, were interested in signing him.

However, some severe crashes late in the season made them back off, and finally, he was signed by the French F1 team as a Reserve driver for the 2025 season. Colapinto can replace Alpine driver Jack Doohan if the australian doesn’t perform well in the next few races.

Franco Colapinto has a big fan base as he was the only argentinean Formula 1 driver after a long time to assign a F1 driver role. Colapinto was seen with fans recently and was asked for an autograph. After signing his autograph, Franco said he even signs Charles Leclerc’s signature.

The fan asked for it and the Argentinian driver signed the exact signature of the Ferrari driver. The fan was happy to get a Charles Leclerc signature from Franco Colapinto. The 2025 F1 season was a disaster for Jack Doohan, as he was out of points in the last Chinese GP.

On his debut, he crashed during the VSC due to spinning. Many people believe Doohan will only have a few races left to prove himself, or else Colapinto could replace him for the rest of the year. Recently, when Red Bull replaced Liam Lawson with Yuki Tsunoda, there were rumours of talks between Christian Horner and Alpine for Colapinto.

With Liam Lawson back in VCARB, he will be monitored very closely, and if he doesn't perform well this year, Colapinto could replace him next year. The Argentinean’s possibilities of returning to a full-time role are bright and can happen soon. The 2026 F1 season will open a new driver market, and Colapinto is expected to be one of those 22 drivers.
