As Formula 1 gears up for the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, drivers and fans can expect favourable weather conditions throughout the weekend. After a sizzling Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the teams will be greeted with warm and dry conditions on the high-speed Baku City Circuit.
Here's what the weather has in store for each day of the event:
Friday, September 13 – FP1 and FP2
Friday's practice sessions are expected to take place under partly cloudy skies, with plenty of sunshine breaking through. A moderate northeasterly wind is anticipated, with gusts reaching speeds of up to 45 kph, which could slightly affect the cars' stability through the tight street corners.
Temperatures will hover around a high of 29°C during FP1 and cool down to 27°C by the time FP2 kicks off. The minimum temperature throughout the day will be around 22°C, and there's no chance of rain disrupting the sessions.
Saturday, September 14 – FP3 and Qualifying
Saturday's conditions will be similar, starting partly to mostly cloudy in the morning before transitioning into sunnier skies by the afternoon. The drivers will face a light to moderate northeasterly wind, with gusts reaching 35 kph.

FP3 will see temperatures peak at 28°C, while qualifying will take place in slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures at 27°C. Once again, the minimum temperature will be around 22°C, and there’s a 0% chance of rain, ensuring an uninterrupted day of action.
Sunday, September 15 – Race Day
Race day promises the best weather of the weekend. Expect clear skies and a dry, sunny atmosphere for the main event. Light easterly winds will sweep through the circuit, with gusts reaching up to 30 kph, which should not significantly impact the race.

The temperature will be around 26°C at the race start, with a minimum temperature of 20°C later in the day. As with the previous days, there is no chance of rain, ensuring a thrilling and dry race. With ideal weather conditions forecast for all three days, teams and drivers will be able to fully focus on performance without any weather-related concerns, setting the stage for an exciting Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
