Austrian Grand Prix (source- Headout)
The Formula 1 season is almost underway and we are already hyped to see our favourite racers compete in the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix this season. The preparation for the races is set to begin from the 28th onwards and we all will be looking forward to the main race which will be beginning on the 30th.
This is another big race that will have a lot of hype behind it. This will be the 43rd time this race will be held and we all are ready to witness the action in the Österreichring. There have been some amazing battles among some of the legendary drivers that have been remembered by all the racing fans all over the world. This season is also where we have witnessed some great talents and we are sure they will give some great performances in this upcoming race.
The circuit, schedule, and drivers to look out for
This is one of the oldest circuits of the F1 season which is 4.318 km long and consists of 71 laps in total. This means the total race distance that needs to be covered is above 306 km. This will be a long race that will feature some great drivers in the mix. Looking at the history of the last 5 years, it was Max Verstappen who had dominated the race last year and it is Carlos Sainz who holds the fastest lap at the venue.It has been Verstappen who has won three races in 5 years prior to this one apart from the inclusions of Charles Leclerc in 2022 and Valtteri Bottas in 2020.
The upcoming race will start with only one practice session on the 28th of June since this will also consist of a sprint race which is a chance for the teams to score extra points. The Sprint qualifiers will begin on the same day itself with the Sprint race to take place on the same day as the qualifying. It will then be the big Grand Prix race on the 30th and it is sure to be another great race to look forward to this season.
