In the first dry session of the ongoing Canadian Grand Prix Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton clocked fastest time on the track. The seven-time world champion clocked 1:12.549 and outplayed the likes of Max Verstappen and George Russell as they completed the top 3.
Verstappen was 0.374 seconds slower to race leader while Hamilton’s teammate Russell was 0.408 seconds slower than him. Lance Stroll and Oscar Piastri completed the top five with a gap of +0.477 and +0.717 seconds to race leader Lewis Hamilton.

Zhou Guanyu crashes again in the Canadian Grand Prix FP3
Earlier, Sauber driver Zhou Guanyu faced a second crash at the Canadian Grand Prix, compounding his woes after an FP1 incident. During FP3, Zhou spun out of Turn 1, hitting the wall and ending his session prematurely.
Expressing frustration over the radio, he cited car issues: "It locks up all the rears!" The red flag halted the session, disrupting the teams' plans. Zhou's crashes add pressure on him and Sauber to bounce back for qualifying and the race. As attention turns to Qualifying session, all eyes are on Zhou's recovery efforts.
