Most wins at Australian Grand Prix: Which F1 driver is the king of Australia?

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix is just a week away, and F1 fans can't keep calm. This year will be the most exciting season because this will be the final year of the Turbo Hybrid era. 1. Michael Schumacher: 4 wins

The greatest driver of all time, Michael Schumacher, is the king of Australia, as he won the most number of races in Australia. The German driver has won the Australian Grand Prix four times. He won races in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004 as a Ferrari driver.

2. Sebastian Vettel: 3 wins

The second place goes to another German driver and F1 legend, Sebastian Vettel. He won the Australian GP three times (2011, 2017, 2018) in his career, once as a Red Bull driver and the next two as a Ferrari driver. Lewis Hamilton and Vettel battled hard in 2017 and 2018, and Vettel emerged victorious.

3. Jenson Button: 3 wins

The British racing driver won the Australian Grand Prix three times in his career. In 2009, he won the AUS GP as the Brawn GP driver, and that same year, he won the world championship. In 2010 and 2012, he won the race as a McLaren driver. 

4. Ayrton Senna: 2 wins

The Brazilian Formula 1 legend is also one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1. Ayrton Senna won two Australian Grand Prix races in his life. He won in the 1991 and 1993 seasons as a McLaren-Honda driver.

5. Mika Hakkinen: 2 wins

The Flying Finn is one of the most dominant and skilled F1 drivers. He won the Australian Grand Prix two times (1998, 1999) in his career. On both occasions, he became the world champion by the end of the year.

6. Lewis Hamilton: 2 wins

The most successful F1 driver in Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton, didn't find much success in Australia. Hamilton has been on the podium many times but couldn’t win the pole. He won the Australian Grand Prix in championship-winning years 2008 and 2015. 

7. Kimi Raikkonen: 2 wins

Kimi is another world champion who won the Australian GP two times in his career. He won in the 2007 and 2013 seasons for Ferrari and Lotus. 

8. Nico Rosberg: 2 wins

The 2016 Formula 1 world champion, Nico Rosberg, has won in Australia twice in his career. Both times, he won as a Mercedes driver. 

9. Damon Hill: 2 wins

The 1996 F1 world champion won the Aussie GP in 1995 and 1996. In both seasons, he tussled with Michael Schumacher and emerged victorious. 

10. David Coulthard: 2 wins 

The British driver on the list has succeeded in Australia multiple times. He won the Australian Grand Prix in the 1997 and 2003 F1 seasons. But he never won the Formula 1 title in his career.
