Legendary Formula 1 car designer Adrian Newey won't be there to help the 2025 Aston Martin car, as the chassis will carry the same design language of its previous designer, Dan Fallows. The AMR26 will be the first car of Aston Martin entirely designed by Adrian Newey and his group of designers. This means the car will carry the same issues until the team finds a solution by themselves.

Aston Martin won't get help from Newey.

Newey, known as the man with the Midas touch, will help Aston Martin to carry out various testing processes and develop the new car before the 2026 season. But what about the 2025 F1 season? As of writing this article, there is no news regarding any updates for the AMR25 car from Adrian Newey’s end. Aston Martin also doesn't want to disturb the veteran designer as the team is getting ready for the new regulations that will have a new design language for F1 cars, especially the removal of DRS and many other current features.

If Adrian decides to help his team this year, it may only come after the first half of the season is over. Till then, the team has to find a way to rescue themselves with the knowledge they have with the AMR25 car. The biggest issue for Aston Martin is their floor design, which does not allow the driver to have full control over the car.

Last year, both Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso crashed during the Brazilian Grand Prix as the floor didn't give them enough control over the car. Newey is working for the British brand after a two-decade journey with Red Bull Racing, where he enjoyed 8 drivers' titles with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.

Newey has a jinx; the driver who won a world title with his design hasn't been able to win any more championships with other designers. Nigel Mansell, Mika Hakkinen and Sebastian Vettel faced the same fate. Max Verstappen is the only one left, and let us see whether he can win any titles without Newey’s touch.
