Ducati had a dream qualifying session in Tuscany as Marc Marquez smashed the all-time lap record in Mugello. His teammate Francesco Bagnaia also crossed the all-time lap record but failed to beat his teammate and finished on P2. Championship contender Alex Marquez ended up in P3. As expected, the Ducatis were the fastest on the grid with Marc leading the team. Pecco Bagnaia's Ducati bike had some parts changed and adjusted according to his riding style. It worked, and we can see his race numbers as he smashed the lap record and finished in P2. Alex came in P3 after a nervy lap against Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
The most expected Maverick Vinales of KTM disappointed as he could only finish in P5 but was ahead of VR 46 riders Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Marco Bezzecchi was the only hope for Aprilia Racing and was expected to finish on the front row. But the back-to-back lap records pushed him to the back, and he ended up in P10.
