There have been a lot of great returns in the Clay season which we have been waiting for this year. The one return which has hyped up the fans is Rafael Nadal, who has missed out on two seasons in the game. It is no surprise since everyone wanted to see the 'King Of Clay' play on the turf where he has achieved some of his best time in the tournament and has had a lot of success in the ATP tour.

Rafael Nadal made his return in the Barcelona Open and is yet to achieve a playoff place this clay season. The last tournament saw El Nino crash out of the 4th round in Madrid. However, we have still enjoyed watching him play and hope that he gets back into some form in the Italian Open. He has recently achieved a first-round victory over Zizou Bergs in the first round of the competition and will be playing Hubert Hurkacz in the 2nd round.

Nadal gets to 200 clay wins

Although this is not a tournament victory Nadal has still achieved something a lot of tennis players can only dream of. With a victory over Bergs Nadal has now achieved 200 wins on ATP 1000 on clay. This shows his legendary status in the game which is still unmatched. There has not been a single player in the world who has managed to achieve this feat yet and showed why he is one of the best on this surface.

We as tennis fans are proud of this achievement, but we will want Nadal to get more wins and get a place in the playoffs going forward. Although Nadal might not be in his peak form, he is still the King of Clay and we as fans really want him to keep winning and getting some more titles under his belt. The era of El Nino is not yet complete and we all want him to achieve one more great achievement in his final year.
