The WTA tour has been giving us several surprises and we have already seen some iconic matches in this competition. The Madrid Open also gave us some great games featuring the top players in the game. Seeing this great tournament we could say that the trio of Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina is currently the big three of the current WTA scene which has been absolutely phenomenal.

Even though Sabalenka and Swiatek are having a great rivalry so far, we cannot ignore the achievements of Elena Rybakina. The Kazakhstani has been in incredible form and there has given great performances in the WTA season. Rybakina has won two WTA titles and has established herself as one of the best players right now. The fans were even excited to see among her two biggest rivals in the Italian Open as well.

Rybakina to withdraw from Rome

Though there would have been a lot of excitement and hype for Rybakina playing in this tournament. Unfortunately, the World number 4 ranked player will not be featured in the tournament since she has withdrawn from the competition due to illness. This is absolutely surprising news for the fans who were looking forward to seeing her play and reuniting the rivalry with Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek. 

This might be a very shocking announcement for the player, but the season is not over yet. Rybakina still has time to get well and feature in the French Open which will be the next tournament after this. The fans will also want her to get an opportunity to win her second grand slam this season. We all want the Kazakhstani powerhouse to come back to full fitness and play in the next few upcoming competitions and achieve great results in them. This is still one of the moments where she will be missed in Rome where a lot of top players are featuring.
