Wolves were able to defeat Manchester City without Rodri in the previous match, the hosts had the opportunity to carry on their winning streak. But Manchester City have been in the form of their life and would have wanted to continue their title charge today. In a memorable evening at the Etihad, Erling Haaland scored four goals versus Wolves to help Manchester City take a step closer to winning the Premier League.

Ederson, Phil Foden, and Ruben Dias were all welcomed back to Pep Guardiola's team, but it was all Haaland's show from the start, as he scored a first-half penalty and added a magnificent header. Just after Wolves had clawed one back, the striker made it four with a solo break and an additional penalty in the first half.

To cap off a huge victory, Julian Alvarez grabbed a fifth goal at the finish. Following a spectacular victory at the Etihad, Manchester City still holds the key to the title race. City would be the first team to win the English championship for four straight seasons if they win their final three games against West Ham, Fulham, and Spurs.

Now that Manchester City have defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers during their penultimate home match this evening, they have gone one step closer to winning the Premier League title.

City is aware that winning three of their next three games will guarantee them a fourth Premier League title in a row. However, Arsenal will be able to take advantage of any mistake. Arsenal now has a goal differential six better than City's. For them to have any chance of winning the league based on goal differential, they would need to score eight goals or more in their final two victories. However, Arsenal might prevail on goal differential as they have been better in that aspect so far in the tournament.
